Calais Taillights

This was a total rice modification which is a bit shameful but i was able to pick up some holden vk calais taillights pretty cheap so i did. The vk calais taillights have black lines through them which make them look darker and some people might consider this to look better. Below is a before and after installation shot so you can decide for yourself which you prefer.

Changing old holden commodore taillights is a very simple operation, it took only a couple of minutes to do. All you need is an 8mm socket and a phillips head screwdriver. First twist all the bulb holders and pull them out. Then undo all the bolts, then undo the screws going to the centerpiece. They are meant to be attatched to this centrepiece at the top and bottom, but to undo the bottom screws you would need to remove the bumper. The easiest way around this is to break off the plastic. Then the taillight simply slides out and the replacement slides in. Put everything back in place and shes all go.

Someone pointed out that the taillights i fitted arent vk calais, as the vk calias ones have red strips around them. So the ones ive fitted must have been aftermarket or something.
