Airbrush Art - SicFX Adelaide
Jason from SicFX in Adelaide has sent us in some pictures of the airbrush artwork he has done from his business on hot holdens. SicFX is a one manned operation, located at 39 Anderson Walk Smithfield (a shed at the back of Auswide Computers).
Jason has airbrushed everything from bikes(Jap and American) to car panels, helmets, computer cases, guitar amps, you name it!, but cars and bikes are what I like to do. Jason tell us "As far as pricing goes it varies on the size and detail of the picture but everything I've sent in so far has cost under $400 for the Artwork. Generally I leave clear coating to spray painters but on small jobs like the rocker covers I'm happy to do the clear. Most spray painters I've used charge between $100-200 to do a decent clear coat on a bonnet. I better mention that these prices are for panels that came to me me in either base coat (as they're in the process of getting painted ) or had a good finish on them already(I use a spray pianter that will repaint and clear a bootlid in 2pac for $250). A mural only looks as good as the paint under it and I dont do repair work, you'd be amazed how many people have wanted me to paint over crazing or badly stonechipped paint."
